My college roommates and I have an annual tradition (how many years now? At least 5 or 6?) of celebrating a little holiday we like to call "Thanksmas." Usually we get together between Thanksgiving and Christmas (hence the name), but nowadays it's whenever we all can be in the same place at the same time in the general holiday time frame. This year we had a very small window of opportunity... the evening our family got home from Illinois.
We arrived home after our LOOOONG drive (see previous post), tried to make some sense of the unpacking madness, napped the children and then got BACK INTO THE CAR (this is real love, people!) to drive to Christine's house. Granted, it was only 20 minutes away, but the car is the last place one wants to be after a road trip.
Despite my fog of exhaustion, it was wonderful for us all to be together with our growing families, if only for a few hours. The meal was delicious, and though adult conversation was lacking with 8 children running amok around us, being together is always a blessing. Love you all!
