4th Annual Wallace "Baby BBQ"

Where do the days go?? It has been a busy few weeks for us, so there will be a flurry of new posts to check out.

Last weekend we had our 4th "Baby BBQ" here at the house (and no, we do not barbeque the babies, as a few jokesters like to ask every year.) We started the BBQ with close friends and family back when there were only a few babies in attendance, and I was still pregnant with Grace. I somehow don't have any pictures of the first BBQ, but here's one from the 2nd BBQ in 2006, with all the "babies" who were here at that time:

Now that four years have passed, the brood has expanded quite a bit!

We had record numbers this year -- nearly everyone was able to make it, even my dear friend Anna and her two sweet kiddos were in town from Oregon! Unfortunately, Phil's sister, Becca, and her family could not come, as she was 11 days overdue with her 3rd child at the time. (Baby El was born on Tuesday -- more on that later!!) We had almost 30 people in attendance and though the temperature was hovering in the mid-90s for the 3rd week in a row, it was a great time. We feel blessed to be able to celebrate summer and get all the kids together each year.
