It seems like I haven't experienced much summer this year, and it's almost over! Unfortunately we've been inside a lot as I've been getting used to having a newborn and a toddler to tend to. We also try to keep the house closed up during the day to conserve any shred of coolness that might exist inside. Thankfully, we're days away from having a swamp cooler installed, just in time for the end of the heat wave. Now I'll never leave the house!
Anyway, as summer slips away, we've reached some pretty big milestones in our house recently. Grace is now more or less fully potty trained! She has been wearing nothing but underwear for about a week and a half, with only a couple of accidents the whole time! We are so proud of her and she's quite the "big girl" now. She and Grandma Myers went on a special shopping trip on Thursday to get princess undies, as well as lots of special items from Target's toy aisles. She had a great day!
As for Nora, she has been sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT for almost 2 weeks! She has been sleeping until about 7:00am after being fed at 9:00 or 10:00pm! One night she even went from 7:30pm to 7am. We're so thankful. She's also smiling like crazy and "talking" all the time. She is doing great.
Nora smiling at Daddy. Note the spit-up in the mouth!
Phil and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary last week (June 19th), but our weekend was so packed with other activities that we decided to have a "Redo Anniversary" on Friday. Our good friends, Will and Mikki, came to the house to watch the girls and we had a lovely dinner at our favorite local Italian restaurant, Cucina Roma Roma. (Their fettucine alfredo is amazing.) Afterwards, we went to downtown Golden to experience Buffalo Bill Days for a couple hours. Even though we were ready to head home by 9:30 (we're getting old!), it was a lovely date night. I'm thankful to be married to such a wonderful husband and daddy!

Thanks for checking in. It was so great to be able to see pictures of your girls. I can't believe how much hair Nora has. My kids were bald as can be. You have a beautiful family. Glad I can catch up with you all!
