One of my most favorite things about having two little girls is watching the bond of friendship and love form between them. Grace is so nurturing and loving to Nora, and Nora looks at Grace with such adoration... it is absolutely precious! Lately as we read a book before Grace goes down for her nap, I'll lay Nora on Grace's pillow and Grace will lay next to her. They laugh and giggle with each other for a few minutes before we start the book.
We ended our week with a bang: on Thursday, Grace stubbed her big toe. I didn't see it happen, but it must have been a doozy because she was favoring it all day. When she got up on Friday, it was black and blue and swollen. I took her to the doctor and even though nothing showed up on the x-rays, we decided to put a fiberglass splint on it anyway in case there is a hairline fracture that they couldn't see. She will have this on for the next week. Perfect. Just in time for the first two days of preschool and her role as the flower girl in Adam & Jen's wedding. Even so, she looks kinda cute.
