Happy 4th of July!

We hope you had a great 3-day weekend! Ours was full of family time, and it was wonderful. One highlight was going to Olde Town Arvada on Saturday to let Grace play in the fountains, then visiting the library and going out to lunch, just the four of us. Grace's fountain frolicking was going to be a super blog moment, but she wouldn't dare go in the water. Somewhere along the way she has developed a fear of water, though last summer she was crazy about it. Hmmm...

I guess the picture below when she was refusing to smile for me in her adorable red & white dress will have to do. She informed me that she doesn't like to have her picture taken anymore, so we'll take what we can get!

Speaking of smiles, another highlight of the weekend occurred on Saturday, as Nora started *really* smiling! She has smiled and cooed here and there ever since she was 2 weeks old, but Saturday morning she greeted me with a big grin and some sweet little gurgles. It was fantastic! Throughout the day she kept it up, and she has been a sweet, smiley baby ever since! I managed to time my picture-taking correctly to capture one of her smiles as she was grinning at her daddy.
