Last Fall, we dug up a bunch of old gnarly rosebushes from this strip of garden in our backyard and replaced them with daffodil, tulip and ranunculus (a type of buttercup) bulbs. Unfortunately, the buttercups did not seem to last through the cold winter, but the daffodils came up well and now the tulips are strutting their stuff! What a pleasant change from thorny, single-bloom-bearing, spindly rosebushes! :)

I love your tulips! They are beautiful. I had some in the front of our house, but last week in the wind and snow they all lost their blooms. Boo! You look soooo good! I'm so excited for you guys! I'm sad that I'll be in Africa for the big day. I'll be praying for you and will come to see you when I get home.
