"Member-y" and other Pastimes

For the past few weeks, Grace has really gotten into playing games. It's both a blessing and a curse, Phil and I have realized: a blessing because it's so fun to see her learning new things and spending time with her as we play. It's a curse because if we let her, she would play games for hours, one after the other. There are only so many times an adult can play "Candy Land" without losing brain cells.

Anyway, Grace is pretty amazing for a 2 1/2 year old at her games, especially "Memory" (which she calls "Member-y.") We started out with about 6 pairs, which quickly became too easy. Now we use 10 or 11 pairs and it's more challenging,.. for all of us. Phil and I really have to pay attention to what we're doing in order to keep up with her. Other favorite games, in addition to Candy Land, are "Go Fish," "Hi-Ho Cherry-O," and a game where she matches a picture with its first letter.

Here she is organizing her Member-y cards into pairs.

We recently got an ottoman from my parents to go with our glider in the baby's room -- I'll be so glad to put my feet up as I'm nursing! The big box it came in has become an extremely fun toy. Here's our cutie peeking out of her "house."

**Pregnancy Update**
I had my "last" appointment with the OB today. Unfortunately I have made very little progress since my previous appointment 1 1/2 weeks ago. Drat!! Anyway, I have another appointment next Wednesday, if the baby doesn't show up before then, and I have an induction scheduled for a week from Saturday. As my friends say, at least there is a definite end in sight. I guess that is true. :) We were a little bummed to not be farther along in this process, but there's not much we can do about it... so we're just thankful that the baby seems to be doing well and that I'm feeling pretty good. Therefore, we wait!
