Well, my little girl is now three. It's hard to believe, but she is officially a "big girl." Her birthday was on Wednesday and she had a great day. She had preschool in the morning, where we handed out cookies to celebrate, and that evening we had a family birthday party. It was a big time!
I hope to have a post one of these days that chronicles all of her cute and not-so-cute characteristics at this stage of her life.... I'd like to get this done mostly for my sake, so I actually sit and think about her little personality and get it written down before she changes again and I forget everything. So we'll see how I do.
Grace on her new swingset!

The day after her birthday, I took Grace to a fun little place in Golden called "Golden Tea Time." It is a tiny house that has been turned into a restaurant, and they have great food and and fun tea-party atmosphere. Grace loved the kid-sized teacup they brought her, the peach tea we drank, and especially the sugar cubes. Another highlight was the selection of fancy hats we could borrow and wear as we lunched. I think we may have a new tradition to look forward to each year!

How fun! I've been to a place like that before w/ my best friend and we had a blast. That makes me want a little girl even more so we can do that as a tradition! What a special time for you guys. And I can't believe she's 3 already!!
I didn't know about your cute little tea date - fun! Sounds like a good tradition to me, being the lover of all things "tea", you know. :) And by the way, Grace is so totally girly in her birthday dress and fancy shoes - I'm used to seeing her in pants and tennies as she falls across the yard...
I would like to join you on this tradition sometime
Happy Birthday, Grace!!
