Recent Life

Life has been good around here lately!  Grace just finished preschool and we're getting used to the rhythm of summer.  Nora and Grace have settled into the classic sister pattern -- they can't play together without fighting but can't stand the thought of being apart.  Consequently, I get to play lots of fun "referee" games throughout the day.  Ellie continues to be a wonderfully sweet and easygoing baby -- thank the Lord!!  She is adorable and so happy, and I can't believe she's already 3 1/2 months old.

I've been trying to be better about taking pictures of the girls these past couple weeks, and we've captured some cute moments.

We celebrated Mother's Day at my parent's house.  There were a lot of photo opportunities that day, but none of them turned out "perfect."  They were more...revealing:

Drew and Nora.  Have I mentioned that they are trouble??  They wouldn't even smile for Grandma!

We tried to get our first family photo that day.  Here's a sampling of the results:

We actually really like the middle one.  Older friends of ours have said we will look back at that photo with fondness and nostalgia down the road.  I already love it and have it framed on our front table.  It helps remind me to have a sense of humor and to enjoy this time of life, as crazy and unpredictable as it is.
