I am a total hands-off gardener -- I just want things to pretty much take care of themselves and make my yard look nice. So I have lots of low-maintenance perennials, and Irises are about as low-maintenance as you can get. I have had a few of them bloom this year that haven't before, and I just have to show them off (not like I've done anything to help them bloom. I just got lucky!)
