Sweet Ellie was born last Sunday, February 21st, at 6:14 pm. I was induced, as she was a week late and I had no signs of going into labor on my own. We were a little concerned about her size, also, since Nora was a 9-lb. baby (also 8 days late!) All went well and after about 10 hours of labor, she arrived! She weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 oz. and was 20.5 in. long. She has a FULL head of dark hair and one of the three most adorable faces I've ever seen. :)
We named her Ellie Jeanne -- the name Ellie was chosen by Grace, suggested by my dad (without knowing Grace's opinion,) and confirmed by another little friend of Grace's who also didn't know of Grace's preference. Since Phil and I were stumped about what to name this third girl of ours, we decided to go with it. It means "light." Her middle name Jeanne is after my beloved late Grandma, Betty. It was her middle name too. It means "God is gracious." He certainly is!
She has been a wonderful baby so far -- eating and sleeping well and so cuddly!! We're all in love. Nora took a little longer to fall for her, but she's coming around. Last week Phil stayed home, which was WONDERFUL. I was so worried about him going to work this week, but so far it seems that we all have adjusted well and we're doing great. I'm so thankful!
Here are some pictures of the little one -- enjoy!
